Our Teachers

Our teachers at Music Together with Sarah are passionate about music - and, more importantly, about supporting your child's musical journey. During their classes, they create a fun, informal, musically rich social setting that supports the varied learning styles of both children and adults. All of our teachers have successfully completed the three-day Music Together® Teacher Training developed by the Centre for Music and Young Children in Princeton, New Jersey. Music Together teachers are specially trained in creating a relaxed, playful, non-performance-orientated setting, which facilitates both the children's learning and their adults' participation.

Music Together Certification Level 1

Rachel fell in love with Music Together in 2012 while taking her daughters to Sarah’s classes.

She found herself having so much fun and charmed by the the program's natural introduction to music, Rachel completed her Music Together training in Spring 2014.

Music has always been a big part of her life - through primary school Rachel enjoyed learning recorder and piano and in her teens she participated in theatre productions and musicals. Later she found swing dancing (were she met Sarah) and spent many hours on the dance floor both socially and in an amateur performance troupe.

Rachel has always been found caring for children – including many hours of babysitting, over 5 years assisting in Montessori classrooms, volunteering on adventure camps, as a playgroup leader, and parent.

Mother to two amazing girls, music is now every day - making up silly songs, humming along to the radio, drumming on the steering wheel, dancing in the kitchen and of course singing a multitude of lullabies!

More recently, Rachel has dusted the recorder off, is learning ukulele – love at first strum! - and sings alto in the 100 voice Menagerie Choir.

Rachel is the owner and teacher of Pitter Patter Music Together in the Perth Hills and is thrilled to teach for Music Together with Sarah.
